Valentina Formisano was born in the province of Naples, Italy, in 1987.
She moved to Marche at the age of 11 where she lives, studies and works until 2016.
During the years of her studies, she showed her work in various exhibitions and won numerous national and international competitions for graphics and painting. In 2011 he won the Brera National Arts Award for the Graphics section and the following year he was a fellow at the CIEC Fundaciòn (La Coruña, Spain). In 2013 he won the Biennial of Young Artists from the Marches for Graphics and the Arnoldo Ciarrocchi Special Prize. She graduated with honors and mention for the publication of the thesis in Graphic Art at the Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata in 2013; Valentina carries out her activity as an artist and laboratory assistant at the Academy of origin for the years following the graduation. In 2017 she moved to Florence to attend the Il Bisonte Foundation specialization school of engraving thanks to the achievement of a scholarship. In 2019 she is a scholarship holder and tutor at the ArtLab master of Art Graphics and since 2020 she has been a student of the subject in Art Graphics and Lithography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, the city where she currently lives, teaches, draws and studies.
